Power back at Prudhoe Bay, but other repairs delay full production for several days

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) _ Power has been restored to processing centers at Prudhoe Bay, but the nation's most prolific oil field still won't be at full production for several days.

A spokesman for field operator BP PLC says the company is using the time to fix some additional equipment.

For now, BP is sending about 285,000 barrels of crude oil or about three-fourths of the capacity down the 800-mile trans-Alaska pipeline.

The entire field temporarily shut down Friday when a vehicle clearing snow drifts damaged the power supply to processing centers.

There were no injuries.

Power supplies to workers' camps and other facilities were not interrupted.
