Wasilla man pleads guilty to two counts of being illegal gun possession, drug charges

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) _ A 27-year-old Wasilla man has pleaded guilty in federal court to illegal gun possession and drug charges.

Damian Allen Nichols pleaded guilty to two counts of being a felon in possession of firearms. He also pleaded guilty to three counts of distribution of controlled substances.

The U.S. Attorney's office says he sold cocaine and heroin on three separate occasions.

He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when he is sentenced July 21.
