Anchorage man faces life in prison in agent assault

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) _ A 29-year-old Anchorage man faces life in prison after a federal jury convicted him of seven crimes, including assaulting a federal agent and threatening their families.

The jury returned its verdict Tuesday against Dennis Suesue. Sentencing was scheduled for August.

The U.S. Attorney's office said Suesue assaulted the agent in March 2007 with a semiautomatic handgun.

A week later, during his arrest, officials say he further threatened to assault and murder agents and their families in retaliation.
