Each week KBYR features an animal from the Anchorage Animal Care and Control Center in an effort to get pets into loving homes. To find out about more animals at the Center you can visit their website at muni.org/animal.
Here is Maxxi, a 2 year old, spayed female, pit bull/lab mix. A little shy at first meeting, Maxxi responds well to gentle handling and warms up quickly. She's lived happily with dogs and cats, but is not a good mix for kids due to her shyness. She handles great on leash, likes her outings and exercise, and really enjoys spending couch time with her humans. She makes a very pleasant companion on walks or just sitting together--calm, easy-going and highly loveable--even gives kisses! She's been to obedience classes and is quite well-mannered and behaved. Maxxi can be adopted for $57, as she is already spayed, which includes her MOA license, vaccinations, and microchip.
